Juried Programs
Maine Crafts Association and Shop Maine Craft work in partnership to support and expand Maine’s creative Economy. We serve amateur and professional craft artists at all points in their practices and careers and set the bar high for the finest craft by acknowledging excellence. We do this by creating standards, guidelines, and/or application processes for some programming, while welcoming everyone for others. An overview of our current retail offerings and application processes can be found below:

PORTLAND FINE CRAFT SHOW
Application Dates: Nov 1, 2024 – Jan 31, 2025
Late Application Dates: Feb 1, 2025 – Feb 15, 2025
FOUND OBJECT: A SECONDS & SUPPLIES MARKET
Application Dates: MCA + RWS Members only through January 15, 2025
Open to all Maine craft artists beginning January 16, 2025

CENTER FOR MAINE CRAFT
Held in the spring and fall, the retail gallery jury process accepts inquiries from all craftspeople living and working (at least seasonally) in Maine. The gallery conducts two juries: Fine Craft and Complementary Jury.
PORTLAND FINE CRAFT SHOW
An annual outdoor fine craft show held in Portland, Maine featuring approximately 120+ juried exhibitors from Maine and the Northeast. Jury applications are accepted November – mid-February.
GUILD FINE CRAFT SHOWS
Guild Level Membership is the Maine Craft Association’s only juried membership. This membership level is designed to attract and bring together professional craft artists to exhibit in the Guild Level Fine Craft Shows with other professional craft artists who make work that is excellently conceived, crafted and presented.
Applications must be received 60 days prior to a Guild Level Fine Craft Show date.
FOUND OBJECT
A Seconds & Supplies Market presented by Shop Maine Craft in the East End of Portland, Maine. Applications are currently open to members of Maine Crafts Association & Running With Scissors Art Studios through January 15, 2025. Beginning January 16, the application is open to all Maine craft artists.

The Maine Crafts Association believes strongly in the services offered to its members. In addition to benefitting from sales venues through Shop Maine Craft galleries + events, MCA also offers educational, marketing, networking, and support services to craft artists.
