White Heron Prints
Seeking beauty in my art, I naturally often feature birds I see around me in Swanville. Although I appreciate the glory of many traditional black and white woodcuts, I can rarely resist the desire to add color. The perfection of line and color we observe in the world is impossible to render in a woodcut, yet I also aspire to having a deeper insight into ecology or humanity in my prints. So many ways to fail, yet usually some hint of success seems to surface.
