The Center for Maine Craft is excited to announce Tiny Treasures, a special holiday-season exhibition featuring the intricate, joyful work of Kharris Brill, and a showcase of tiny works by 20+ fellow Maine Crafts Association members.
This showcase highlights finely crafted items measuring six inches and smaller, each piece offering a glimpse into the creativity, skill, and vision of Maine’s vibrant craft community.

About Kharris B.
Kharris (pronounced KAIR-is) Brill’s name combines her maiden name, Kathryn Harris, with her married name, Brill, a reflection of the merging of her personal and artistic journeys. Originally from Utah, Kharris moved to Maine in 1989, first settling on Peaks Island before pursuing studies at the Portland School of Art (now Maine College of Art & Design). After several years in South Portland, she and her husband, Ken, her “Supporter Extraordinaire”, have made their home in Bath since 2008.
A self-taught artist, Kharris continually expands her creative vocabulary, exploring new tools and techniques as she works. Her artistic repertoire includes linear stained glass, batik, reclaimed wood furniture, and most recently, found object assemblages. Inspired by visionaries such as Frank Lloyd Wright and Joseph Cornell, she seeks to give new life to salvaged materials, transforming the overlooked into the extraordinary.
Since opening her original shop, Kharris B, in downtown Bath in 2015, she has exhibited her work widely, including solo exhibitions at Meetinghouse Arts Gallery (Freeport, 2024) and Craignair Gallery (Spruce Head, 2025).
Tiny Treasures invites visitors to experience the beauty found in small-scale craftsmanship and the stories each piece tells.
