He completed his four year apprenticeship in scientific glassblowing, after which time he undertook the journey into the world of Glass Art. ‘Flame-work glassblowing’ is a technique that involves heating up the glass by open flame, using Borosilicate Rod and Tubing. A combined technique of both sculpting and blowing are utilized. Flame-work glassblowing entails learning to control the medium as it heats and cools, and it takes decades to master.
