Rachel Flaherty’s jewelry is inspired by the combining of simple architectural and geometric shapes with textures and patterns that are found throughout nature. Repetitive pattern and small sudden spaces are woven through her bodies of work.
Rachel fabricates flat shapes and hollow forms with this sterling silver sheet and wire to produce durable, yet lightweight jewelry. Every piece is constructed by hand using a combination of many different techniques, such as fold-forming, soldering and cold connections.
