Looking to add some color to your table or counter? One of these 8 inch Haynes pepper mills should do it for you.

The wood starts out as 49 layers of 1/16″ Birch veneer that have been dyed and glued together. This wooden peppermill is worked completely on the lathe. The finish on the mill is a food grade polymerized Tung oil and a wax mixture which gives a nice luster to the mill. It is safe to use on your food and cleans up easily.

This hand turned pepper mill is 2 5/8″ in diameter at the base and tapers to 1 1/2″ just above the beads/rings and stands 8 1/2″ tall. Because this is turned by eye all measurements are approximate.

“This shape came about one winter day I was outside breaking the icicles and ice off from the eaves of my house and I realized that a droplet of water would be a great shape. So if you turn the pepper grinder upside down you will see my version of a water droplet. Complete from the moment when the droplet is about to break free and becomes very elongated (everything below the head) to the moment when the droplet has just broken free (the actual head).

I’m very particular about all of the components that go into any our products and the grinding mechanisms are no exception. One of the best is made right here in the United States.”
