Coptic Stitch
The Copts were an early Christian sect living in Egypt and northern Africa. As early as the 4th century, they used this traditional method of hand sewing to bind their folded parchment manuscripts. These remarkable books open effortlessly to display attractive interior papers the lie gracefully and perfectly flat. Coptic stitched books are appreciated for their elegant beauty.
