Color Wheel Whale | Pam Bardon

$325.00

Artist and illustrator Pam Bardon created Color Wheel Whale using reclaimed scrap boards. The weathered face of the reclaimed wood is left exposed, carefully cut and sanded to shape. Pam then used white gel pen, sharpie, and fine tip pen to create expressive illustrations upon its surface. The back is finished with a sawtooth picture hanger, and is signed and dated by the artist.

Pam Bardon
Camden, ME

Upon graduating from the Mass. College of Art in 1978, Pam moved to Camden Maine, halfway up the glorious Maine coast, to settle three miles inland on a freshwater pond. Pam has pursued mixed media drawing and painting experiments and commercial illustration work while raising a family in this idyllic spot. There is great expressive power in line and its nature is subject to the emotion of the draftsman in that moment of intensive observation. No two pieces are alike, as variations in the weathered pine boards and how Pam approaches these hand made creations ensure each sea going mammal has its own unique soul.
