Karen Gola, of Gola Glass, brings the beauty and serenity of the sea to Maine Craft Portland this July!

From Czech heritage, Karen was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the historic center of glassmaking in America. Her fused, formed and frosted glass works are reminiscent of renowned glass works that date back to the Middle Ages, while carrying a simplicity that is timeless.

Deeply passionate about glass since childhood, she has been creating works of glass for over 36 years.

In this body of work, Karen shows us the unspoken magic and sheer delight of living by the sea along any of its shores.
