The Center for Maine Craft presents Deep, a collaborative installation and exhibition of new works in glass, leather and mixed media by MCA member artists Laura Fuller and Hannah Tarkinson.

Open May 4 – June 30 in the Center for Maine Craft gallery at 288 Lewiston Rd. in West Gardiner, ME

About the Artists

Laura Fuller has been creating three-dimensional stained glass pieces for more than twenty-five years. She began incorporating objects into her panels while still in school. When discouraged by her instructor from this innovative technique, she became determined to master the craft of integrating found objects into her complex glass pieces. She is primarily self-taught in her area of glass design, and is uniquely creating three-dimensional assemblage glass narratives.

Artist, designer and musician Hannah Tarkinson founded Ponomo in 2001 as a line of one-of-a-kind  leather handbags. After developing street credibility and responding to the demands of a loyal customer base, the line evolved to include fine jewelry and leather accessories. Her studio is at Running with Scissors in Portland’s East Bayside neighborhood and she regularly exhibits and sells in specialty boutiques in Maine.
