Shop Maine Craft presents the 47th annual Guild Fine Craft Show: Mount Desert Island on Friday, August 9th – Sunday, August 11th, 2024 on the coastal campus of College of the Atlantic at 105 Eden Street, Bar Harbor, ME 04609.

Featuring lifetime Guild level members of the Maine Crafts Association and juried exhibitors from Maine and Greater New England, the Annual Guild Fine Craft Show will present 40+ exhibitors working in basketry, ceramic, encaustic, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, letterpress, metal, printmaking, stone, textiles (wearable + decorative), and woodworking.

When: Friday, August 9 (5:00 – 8:00pm), Saturday, August 10 + Sunday, August 11 (10:00am -4:00pm both days), rain or shine

The 47th annual Guild Fine Craft Show: Mount Desert Island is a longtime tradition on the
island, with 2024 being the 2nd year in a brand new location: College of the Atlantic (COA).

COA is a coastal liberal college just steps away from the bustling downtown of Bar Harbor,
Acadia National Park. The venue offers ample parking and great views. The show takes place both indoors and outdoors on the college campus.

Application Dates: February 16 – March 31, 2024
Application Fee: MCA Members $30 | Non-members $35

Applicants Apply via Juried Art Services

Applicants will need to provide:
Five quality images representing the work that will be exhibited.
One booth shot image.
An artist statement including information about the artist’s career, technical skill used to create the submitted artwork, or any information the applicant would like the jury to know.

Notification date:
The jury will occur at the beginning of April and applicants will be notified of their status on April 16th, 2024.

MEDIA/PRODUCTS NOT ACCEPTED

  • Commercial manufactured art.
  • Work assembled (wholly or in part) from commercially available kits.
  • Two-dimensional art such as paintings and photographs. The only exception to this exclusion are original handmade prints made using traditional analog techniques.  Any digital or reproduction prints such as giclee are not allowed.
  • Production work by third-party printers, commercially printed items or embellished commercially made objects such as t-shirts, note cards etc.
  • Mixed media work that uses paint and canvas as its primary medium.
  • Commercially screen printed material, commercial etchings, web or sheet fed offset printed work.
  • Works that use materials acquired from the killing of endangered species, elephant/mammoth ivory, including fossilized ivory.
  • Dried or silk flower arrangements.
  • Soaps, personal care, candles.
  • Specialty foods.
  • Buy-sell items.
  • CDs, DVDs, Books

BOOTH INFORMATION

FEES:

Rate for 10×10 in-line booth (outdoor, no power): $420

Rate for 10×10 corner booth (outdoor, no power): $460
*Additional indoor spaces may be available (with power): $460-580

INFO:

  • Exhibitors receive their booth assignments & vendor info packet in early summer
  • EZ-up (or equivalent) tents are required for outdoor spaces. If any indoor spaces are available, pipe & drape is required
  • Tent weights required, 40lbs per corner
  • 10ft x 10ft spaces (outdoor)
  • Double or triple booths, and prime/corner booths are available 
  • No electricity available to outdoor booths
  • Campus WIFI is available
