Shelby Goldsmith

Since earning her BFA in Metalsmithing & Jewelry from Maine College of Art, Shelby has not only been crafting unique pieces of jewelry, but also has taught and assisted in classes at Penland School of Craft, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Artascope Studios and Continuing Studies at MECA&D. She serves at the secretary in The Metals Collective: A Portland based group of makers whose mission is to promote the craft of metalsmithing & jewelry through collaboration and public engagement. Shelby completed the Maine Craft Apprentice Program under the expertise of her mentor, J.E. Paterak, in early 2020. In addition to making jewelry, Shelby is a certified death doula & end of life planner.
