It wasn’t until 2002, when Al Mather inherited a lathe from his grandfather, that he began working with wood. Immediately enthralled by the process, Al connected with the Maine wood-turners community to learn alongside them. From the lather, he began also studying spindle turning and skew chiseling. His toys and ornaments are some of our best sellers.
