About the Author
Susan A. Starr was inspired to write The Birthright after discovering a 1911 diary in an antique shop. It was the handwritten journal of a stranger, a woman who had lived her life in Granby, Massachusetts. While this is a work of fiction, numerous people and events described in the story are factual, woven together with greater elements of fiction. Susan was born and raised in Western Massachusetts, and she and her husband, Chuck, have made Maine their home for nearly two decades. She is also the author of Memoirs of a Mad Innkeeper: The Muffin Recipes Revealed!
