Laurel MacDuffie
Parsonsfield, ME
When Laurel MacDuffie was eight, her family moved to Swan’s Island, Maine, where they lived without electricity or neighbors for nine years. This place of quiet beauty inspired an exploration of the connection between a spiritual relationship with nature and communicating at the subtlest level through visual art. That exploration continues to this day.
Laurel holds an MA in Art Therapy from Lesley University, where she learned that clay can heal at the deepest level of body memory. She has been working in clay for over 20 years.
