Dick & Mary Dyer
Winthrop, Maine
Artists Dick and Mary Dyer believe in embracing all that life has to offer. Using the macro zoom lens, they capture the unique design and intense color – the essence – of each flower. Inspired by a love of fine art, they had a vision for products of uncompromising quality which provided the starting point from which genuine personal connections are made. Whether it be the rich color, dramatic design or even slight imperfections, we attempt to explore the flower in its simplest form and, often, its most beautiful state. We hope you enjoy what we discover.
Mary Dyer graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Graphic Design and a MAT in Art Education and taught for 41 years at every grade level, in public and private schools. She still teaches black and white photography at Camp Androscoggin during the summer.
Dick Dyer graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a BS in English and majors in Speech, Theater and a Minor in Art Education. He continues to work in public relations and marketing as he has done since 1981.
“The mission of Dyer Cards is to capture, even exaggerate, the essence of nature’s most beautiful flowers and give them eternal life in print. We emphasize that this beauty is available all around you – in the backyard and even on the side of the road, not just in horticultural gardens. “
