“Forever Clean Soap was established in 2016 by three women who met at the gym. As we pondered our retirements we started to walk and travel together. During our hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, our drive around Ireland and our trek to Alaska we brainstormed about making soap in small and/or large batches. We then experimented with recipes and methods using the most pleasing fragrances and colors. Now we are sharing our soaps, body butters, salt scrubs and bath treats with others and we are having fun. Our production lab and warehouse consist of one of our kitchens and garages in Vassalboro, Maine. In the summer of 2017 we took our soap with us to hike the 84-mile Hadrian’s Wallpath in England and in the summer of 2018 our soap joined us on our bike ride through Prince Edward Island. In 2019 Susan headed off to So. Africa on Safari without the rest of us just before we travelled to Dallas for the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild Conference. Covid restrictions kept us at home and on local trails for a while but in 2021 we finally toured the Southwest, USA. It was amazing! Most recently in February, 2024, we headed to Costa Rica to visit the Osa Peninsula and the area surrounding Monteverde. Our soap went with us and we shared it with the many wonderful people we met along the way. The trip was a huge success. Where next??”
