Laurel Vincent grew up in Windham, Maine. As a child, she frequently found herself squished amongst boxes of antiques in the backseat of her parent’s jeep. As annoying as the boxes were, the contents went on to foster her love of arts, crafts, fashion and history.
In 2017 she graduated from the Lesley University College of Art and Design (formerly the Art Institute of Boston) with a BFA in Fine Arts focused in painting and printmaking and a minor in Art History. In college, she interned with the Cambridge Artists Cooperative where she worked with a number of skilled artists and craftspeople from all over New England. After graduating, she went on to manage a beer bar and help out in her mother’s antique shop. Fortunately, she also landed a studio space and never stopped producing work. She is happy to find herself amongst other creative minds once again at Maine Craft Portland.
