Position Title: Shop Maine Craft Retail Gallery Manager

The Gallery Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of the retail galleries, ensuring that all systems are functioning, sales goals are met, staffing levels are maintained, and the galleries are well stocked and visually appealing. They are also responsible for the planning and facilitation of a full calendar of programming and exhibitions under the direction of the Director of Operations. The manager is a public-facing representative of Shop Maine Craft and will work collaboratively with our dedicated, professional, sales focused staff. The gallery manager also represents our partner organization, Maine Crafts Association, and is responsible for communicating our vision, initiatives and opportunities to our constituencies. The manager is most guided by serving Maine’s craft artists through the sales of their work.

About the Galleries: Center for Maine Craft & Maine Craft Portland

Located in West Gardiner and Portland, Shop Maine Craft Retail Galleries sell and exhibit the work of over 400 Maine Crafts Association members. Each gallery provides a unique shopping experience to the public, showcasing Maine’s legacy of creativity and craftsmanship through a broad spectrum of media, technique, and creative design. They also act as resource centers for State and cultural tourism, offer connectivity to our vibrant community of artist members, and access to our broad range of programming offered by Shop Maine Craft and Maine Crafts Association.
