The Loomis Chair was designed based upon the famous Faabourg Chair from the early 1900’s by Kare Klint. While the design is quite different and original, it closely relates to the essence of the original.
This particular model is made of White Oak with a handmade pressed cane seat. Special sizing and custom wood types and upholstery are available upon request. Please email mia@mainecrafts.org for custom inquiries.

David enjoys pushing the limits of many techniques such as tapered or double tapered lamination, carved surfaces, and simply working with graceful curves.
