Heather’s thrown vases, bottles and bowls are driven by texture. She spends a lot of time creating her own clay recipes. The work is unglazed, but treated so that it is food-safe and watertight. Heather is also a librarian and a teacher/maker of short form documentary film. She recently relocated to Portland, Maine from Asheville, North Carolina.
