Cherry & Walnut Urn | Bill Housley

$140.00

“I’ve gotten to the age where more and more of my “friends” are being cremated. My observation is that the urn is not intended to contain ALL of the remains but just a token. There was a recent exhibit of urns at the Messler Gallery in Rockland. The show was titled Boxes to Die For. There were NO urns big enough to contain all of the remains needs to have enough space for the one cubic inch per pound of body weight. That said: my urns can be used to hold the remains of a human or a pet respectfully.” -Bill Housely

This piece is part of The Wooden Vessel, an exhibition currently showing at Maine Craft Portland.
