Portland Downtown’s Merchant Holiday Window Contest: Dec. 1 – 15th
MCA member Lisa Pixley of Whitefield, Maine created and installed “Riches”, a 2022 window display at Maine Craft Portland. The Japanese paper cutting craft of Tatebanko informed how Lisa approached creating these dynamic diorama scenes nestled in glittering winter hat forms, suspended on long ribbons from Maine Craft Portland’s lofty windows facing Congress St. The installation made its debut on Black Friday and won “Best Overall” in Portland Downtown’s holiday window contest.
